Make Us Bold, Lord

Good morning Stanley, Dustin, Carlie, Andrew, Daniel, Mackenzie, and Mikyla! You have finished two years of catechism instruction, two years learning about what Scripture says about God and how he has rescued us. I must say that of all the classes that I have taken through two years of catechism instruction, yours is by far the best! Let's just not tell anyone that so far yours is the only class that I have taken through two years of catechism.
Jesus is our High Priest

One of the questions presented to our confirmands last Friday evening was to name the three offices of Christ. The the three offices of Christ are prophet, high priest, and king. We use these three titles the to describe all that Jesus has done and continues to do for us. Today we focus on the second one, high priest.
Isn't It a Lot Like Graduation?
It seems a lot like graduation. We have a ceremony; they wear robes; we hand out certificates; we celebrate with food; we give gifts. We do many things at this time that we also do at graduation, but we call this special event confirmation.
