About:

Jaffa is a port city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Known as Joppa in the Bible, it is the place Jonah sailed from while trying to escape God’s command (Jonah 1:3).  The Apostle Peter also stayed there for a time at the house of Simon the tanner in the book of Acts (Acts 10:1-23), and there God gave him a vision telling him that the gospel message was for Gentiles as well as Jews. Today Jaffa is part of the larger Tel Aviv metropolitan area.

Reflection:

The rain today made travel a little more difficult and so we didn’t visit Jaffa.
