About:

The Mountain of Nebo is a tall summit at the southern tip of Israel. It provides a stunning view of the Jordan Valley and Israel. This is the mount from which Moses saw the land of Canaan before the Israelites crossed the Jordan.  Moses was also buried there. In 1933 the ruins of an old church were discovered on the mountain. It was thought to be constructed around 350 AD in commemoration of Moses death.
