A daily devotional book is a wonderful resource for starting the day in the right way. A good devotion will draw our attention away from the temporary, earthly affairs that so often consume us and direct us toward the lasting and vital truths of God’s Word that give life to our soul and meaning to our earthly lives.
One such resource is the “Meditations” booklets available for free in the back of the church. You can also find daily devotions on the internet at: www.wels.net/jump/dailydevotion
Another resource is the book “Faith Alone”. Each of the 365 devotions in this book begins with a Bible passage and follows with comments from Martin Luther on that passage in Luther’s clear and engaging style. Take a look at the example on the right.
If you are interested in purchasing this book, please let me know. The cost is $15 each. The church recently purchased several copies of this book for the purpose of making them available to members of the congregation.
May God bless the time you spend in his Word.
